10 FORMER TOWNSVILLE BLACK STARS PLAYERS NAMED TO PLAY IN THE STATE LEAGUE TRIAL MATCHES IN NORTH QLD

The 2020 Queensland Rugby League season is set to kick off this weekend as trial matches for the Mendi Townsville & District Blackhawks, Mackay Cutters and Kenfrost Homes Northern Pride teams are scheduled to take place on Saturday 15th February.

Trial matches are being played in all 3 divisions – U18’s Mal Menginga Cup (MMC), U20’s Hastings Deering Colts (HDC) and QLD Intrust Super Cup (ISC)

Townsville Black Stars Rugby League are excited to see 10 former players named to take part in this weekend’s trial matches, 5 of which were selected to play for the U16 QLD Murri team/s in 2017 & 2018.

Northern Pride matches will be played at Petersen Park in Edmonton
U20’s – Northern Pride v Edmonton Storm (A-Grade) at 2:20pm
ISC – Northern Pride v Cairns Foley Shield at 4:00pm

Mackay Cutters will play Townsville Blackhawks at Denison Park in Bowen
U18’s – Mackay Cutters v Townsville Blackhawks at 3:00pm
U20’s – Mackay Cutters v Townsville Blackhawks at 4:30pm
ISC – Mackay Cutters v Townsville Blackhawks at 6:00pm
